Experts have found that tick-borne encephalitis spreads in 30 districts of Tatarstan. This is Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Bugulma, Yelabuga, Zainsk, Vysokaya Gora, Verkhny Uslon, Laishevo and other districts of the republic.

“The TBE endemic territories had 93.8% of bites”, specifies the watchdog.

At the same time, the Kazan city administration notes that the city has been treated for ticks since June 4. Watchdog specialists choose sites for this.

Immunologist, doctor of medical sciences Vladislav Zhemchugov explains that ticks react to the heat of the human or animal body: “They climb on the grass or search by parachute for loopholes in clothing to gain access to the body. » It is necessary to put on high boots, trousers with a belt, a coat with a belt or cuffs to protect yourself. According to the climb, the most important thing is to cover your head because ticks are very fond of hair.
