This summer, residents of Tatarstan became more actively interested in recreational goods outside the city and in nature. They buy both garden furniture and tourist tents, Ozon told Realnoe Vremya.

Residents of Tatarstan rushed to improve dachas

In June of this year in Tatarstan, unit sales of goods for dachas and outdoor recreation increased by 90% compared to the beginning of summer 2021. Residents of the republic are actively buying garden furniture, inflatable mattresses and round frame swimming pools.

This summer, residents of Tatarstan began to buy leisure goods in country houses and dachas more often. They buy hammocks and lounge chairs for their plots. The sale of these properties in June increased by 51% compared to the same month last year.

Residents of Tatarstan began to improve their dachas and country houses with the arrival of the summer season. In this regard, their interest in purchasing goods for these purposes has increased 2.6 times compared to June last year.

Most often, for the improvement of suburban areas and dachas, residents of Tatarstan this month bought garden borders, modular pavements for paths and decorative fences.

Residents of Tatarstan combine business with pleasure – resting in the countryside, they also take care of the garden and vegetable garden. Thus, the inhabitants of the republic this year bought 129% more gardening equipment than a year earlier. The demand for garden equipment in Tatarstan soared by 163%.


Relaxation in contact with nature

Residents of Tatarstan rushed to rest outside the concrete jungle this summer. In this regard, the demand for outdoor leisure products, including hiking, has increased.

According to Ozon’s calculations, in Tatarstan in the summer of 2022, the demand for goods in the hiking and outdoor recreation category jumped 90% at a stroke compared to the previous year.

Residents of Tatarstan have noticeably increased their interest in tourist tents and sleeping bags. Their sales with the arrival of summer increased by 80% compared to the same period last year.

According to one of the latest studies, 37% of Kazan residents surveyed this year decided to rest in the country. Only 8% of the inhabitants of the capital of Tatarstan without delay choose active recreation in one place or mountain climbing. The majority of respondents — 53% — plan to spend a summer vacation at sea.
