Today, the center has assumed the functions of administering the region’s e-commerce market. The government of the republic, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan and the institution of business ombudsman plan to increase the turnover of Tatarstan entrepreneurs in federal e-commerce with the help of the center. The core competence of the center is e-commerce, in particular trading on marketplaces.
How was the Center launched at the height of the pandemic?
During the opening of the center last February, Tatarstan’s Business Ombudsman paid attention to the significantly accelerated transformation of trade with the onset of the pandemic making e-commerce the main product sales channel for entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, the logistics distribution centers of the largest markets have already been built and are developing in Tatarstan, which led to the opening of the Marketplace.Legko center.
In March, the experience of the country’s first e-commerce center began to be reviewed in Russian regions, also online. Omsk Oblast was the first to learn from the experience. In June, the director of international cooperation of Wildberries, Alexey Dukhanin, joined the center’s expert council, which made perfect sense. The number of Tatarstan suppliers exceeded 1.5 billion rubles during this period . Later, the Ozon online store, whose logistics terminal is also being built in Zelenodolsk on an area of 38,000 square meters, became a technology partner of the center.

An intensive three-hour seminar will help develop business
“At each seminar, we discuss the so-called triatomic business model to establish its own manageable sales channels on marketplaces and online platforms in general. Entrepreneurs mainly ask questions about e-com infrastructure: how to create digital content, package products and where to store them, how to promote and organize logistics. These are all key business processes in the sales organization,” explained Yuliana Gordon.
By the way, Rustam Minnikhanov recently posted a video about the upcoming seminars on Instagram. He says that Volga Bolgaria whose heir is Tatarstan was at the crossroads of key trade routes. The old Kazan Fair was famous since the 12and century. While Yelabuga is still named a market town for a reason – its bread market was a major trading center in the Kama region. Tatar merchants played an important role at all Volga fairs. As the video shows, 2021 has become a chain of life in the development of e-commerce, while Tatarstan again began to play an important role in trade, but now as a growth point of e-commerce (by the way , representatives of the largest online platforms talk about the leadership of the republic in this regard). 10,000 entrepreneurs in the republic have already “succeeded” online. The video urges other entrepreneurs from Zelenodolsk, Yelabuga, Laishevo, Kazan to take the training organized by Marketplace.Legko and start selling goods and services online.
