In September, educational seminars for entrepreneurs on e-commerce will be held in the cities of Tatarstan with the institution of the Republican Affairs Ombudsman, Farid Abdulganiyev. The project will kick off in Zelenodolsk with the E-Commerce As Entrepreneurs’ Future seminar on September 2. E-commerce, which until recently was an exotic tool in Russia, is gradually driving out traditional commerce. At the end of 2020, the number of Tatarstan companies on Wildberries and Ozon increased by 60%: to 828 on Wildberries and more than 500 on Ozon. The number of sellers in the market increased tenfold last year, reaching 5,000. Moreover, according to different estimates, more than 12,000 companies in the republic have great potential to trade through the markets. Today, the center has assumed the functions of administering the region’s e-commerce market. The government of the republic, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan and the institution of business ombudsman plan to increase the turnover of Tatarstan entrepreneurs in federal e-commerce with the help of the center. The core competence of the center is e-commerce, in particular trading on marketplaces.

How was the Center launched at the height of the pandemic?

As the Marketplace.Legko website itself says, over the next three years e-commerce will grow by 4.4 trillion rubles. Last March, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the government of the republic instructed the Electronic Commerce Center to have 700 Tatarstan companies in e-commerce.
