Kazan Summit 2022 kicks off in Tatarstan

Bringing together Russian and Islamic professionals in the global economy, the Kazan Summit 2022 kicked off in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, on Thursday, according to Anadolu Agency.
The 13th International Economic Summit: Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Summit 2022, which the Agency Anadolu is the global communications partner, began with the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Russia Halal Expo 2022 ‘.
The event is taking place within the framework of the activities of the Russian-Islamic Global Strategic Vision Group, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said during his speech.
“The summit in Kazan is the main and only platform in our country in economic interaction between Russian regions and countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),” he said.
“It presented itself as a successful business platform to establish new contacts, showcasing our country’s economic capabilities and investment potential,” he added.
The three-day event aims to promote cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, science and technology, and promote social and cultural ties between Russia and the OIC member countries.
The sharing economy and the halal industry will be on the program of the event. Other key topics are Islamic finance and partner banks, youth diplomacy, export development, entrepreneurship and investment.
The event will also cover the Forum’s construction machinery group, the World Day of halal and events dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars.
Some of the traditional events of the summit include Young Entrepreneurs Forum of OIC Countries, Young Diplomats Forum of OIC Countries and SberTalk – an offline multi-modal chat platform to discuss financial sector issues with representatives government and business.
